Turkey Meatballs in White Sauce

For the Meatballs

  1. Place all ingredients in a bowl and combine well using your mixer with the paddle attachment, your hands, or a large fork.
  2. Gently form balls about 1½ inches in diameter. Place them in a greased baking dish.
  3. Bake at 400° F about 15 minutes. Cut one of the meatballs to check for doneness.
  4. Makes about 20 meatballs.

For the Sauce

  1. Place the cold almond or cashew milk in a sauce pan and whisk in the arrowroot starch. (Be sure to do this while the milk is still cold.)
  2. Turn on the burner to medium, add the remaining ingredients, and heat while whisking occasionally until the mixture bubbles and thickens.
  3. Add the meatballs and serve over rice or pasta.
