May is Celiac Awareness Month and the folks at Rudi’s Gluten-Free Bakery want to help you celebrate through their second annual Spread the Bread campaign. The are giving up to $30,000 back to the amazing organizations making a difference in our community.
Get a Dollar. Give a Dollar.
During May, fans of Rudi’s Gluten-Free on Facebook will be able to select one of four celiac organizations (Celiac Disease Foundation, Celiac Sprue Association, Gluten Intolerance Group and National Foundation for Celiac Awareness) to receive a $1 donation from Rudi’s Gluten-Free and will then be able to download a $1 off coupon for any Rudi’s Gluten-Free product.
In case you didn’t know, Rudi’s has a new addition to thier gluten-free family–Tortillas! They come in three flavors, plain, spinach and Fiesta. All contain 5 grams of fiber per serving.
I had a chance to try these tortillas, and they are good. They are also the most flexible gluten-free tortilla I have tried. Without heating, the tortilla folds nicely. I’m not saying they are as soft and pliable as a wheat flour tortilla, but they are the best substitute I have tried.
Rudi’s has put together a celebratory package full of smile-worthy goodies for one lucky winner (but no tortillas). The package includes an apron to make cooking a little more fun, a gluten-free cookbook, “Gluten-Free on a Shoestring,” by Nicole Hunn, Rudi’s Gluten-Free coupons, a reusable shopping bag, and bread clips.
