I’ve shared a few kitchen blunders with you recently. Now I’m going to share a blogging blunder.
I lost this recipe. I thought for sure I had it written up in Windows Live Writer or already posted as a draft, but it is nowhere to be found. I do have this picture, though.
I wanted to share this recipe with you today in case you had ham left over from Easter dinner. But it really doesn’t require much of a recipe anyway, so I’m going to tell you what I put in it, and you can guess at amounts.
Yield:
Ham Salad

Ingredients
- Finely diced cooked ham
- Diced apple
- Honey
- Mustard
- Olive Oil
- Onion and Garlic Pepper
Instructions
- Mix everything together and serve with crackers or on a sandwich.
Other Ways to Use Leftover Ham
- Ham Loaf
- Ham Bread Bites
- Breakfast Casserole (use ham instead of sausage)
No mayo? Really? AWESOME! I have never, ever accepted the offer of ham salad because it almost always contains massive amounts of Miracle Whip. *shudder* Your ham salad looks delicious.
Nope. No mayo. But I’m glad you said that because it reminded me that I think I did add a little olive oil. I added that to the “recipe.”
I’m impressed it doesn’t have mayo either. I might just try this later in the week. So the honey and mustard just bind it a bit, right? Very healthy and sounds delicious!
That’s a good way to use leftover ham. I often don’t follow recipes exactly for food items like this where you can play around with ingredients. I love Glutino crackers!
I am liking the apple/ham mix! Got to try this.
This looks like a good combo of ingredients. We already finished our Easter ham, but I want to try it the next time we have leftovers.
