Happy New Year! And welcome back after a holiday break from Gluten-Free Wednesdays. Whether you’re trying to start the new year eating a more healthy diet or are just interested in finding new gluten-free recipes, you’ve come to the right place.
Co-Host Changes
Last year I added two co-hosts to this carnival, and one of them, my friend Shirley of gfe–gluten free easily and All Gluten-Free Desserts, has decided to pass the baton. I love the enthusiasm and readers that Shirley brought to this event, but I look forward to working with our new co-host. Unfortunately, she is having some site problems, so I’m going to wait until next week to introduce her.
Until then, I’m still hosting with my friend Lynn of Lynn’s Kitchen Adventures.
Last Carnival’s Highlight
The most popular post from the last carnival in December was a chocolate cake which is great any time of year and might be something to consider for Valentine’s Day coming up.

My Submission
I have brought back a potato chowder with sausage that my family loves, and it is so warming on a cold night.
The Carnival
We appreciate your participation and are happy to share many of the links on social media sites. However, as much as we hate to put a damper on this fun carnival, entries that do not follow the guidelines will not be shared and will be deleted from the linky.
- You must link back to one of the co-hosts in the text of your post (not on a separate page with a bunch of carnival links).
- Links should be about a gluten-free eating idea. While it doesn’t have to be a recipe, it should be food related.
- Recipes should have gluten-free ingredients or options in the recipe (not just elsewhere in the text).
- If you’re new, please read all the guidelines.
Note: Linking up indicates you are giving permission for us to share your submitted photo and your link via social media or in next week’s post if it is selected as the most popular post for the week or featured as a highlight.
Thank you for hosting, Linda! That potato chowder sounds delicious- I’ve grown up eating potato soups so no doubt I’d be a huge fan!
Thanks so much for the sweet words, Linda! I had so much fun being a co-host of GFW last year. 🙂
Yay for both potato chowder and yummy chocolate cake! This week I’m linking up end of year roundups from both gfe and All Gluten-Free Desserts. Lots of good choices in those, too.
Happy New Year!
Shirley
Sad you will be leaving the round up but I’m sure it will free up lots of your time!
Thanks so much, Sharon! It’s just the right thing to do right not with other things going on. 😉 Don’t worry; I will still stay in touch with all my gf peeps! 🙂
Shirley
We’ll miss your hosting, Shirley, but I’m so glad we’ll still see your contributions linked.
What a nice thing to say, Pat! Thank you so much!
Shirley
I’ve been eyeing your roundups! As you know, there’s a lot going on here, but I’ll catch up with you next week.
Thanks, Linda. I’ve enjoyed your roundups, too. It always amazes how we can read each others’ blogs all the time and still miss or forget about awesome recipes so I love the roundups! 🙂 I look forward to catching up! Until then, good luck with all the exciting family activities!
Shirley
Happy New Year Linda! I just had to go take a peek at the Chocolate Cake recipe!
I shared my stuffed peppers recipe this week.
Thank you for hosting x
Linda — thank you so much for hosting! GF Wednesdays is my all-time favorite for gluten-free recipes.
Happy New Year —
Pat
Hey Linda, Thank you for hosting! I shared my Bacon Cornbread Muffin recipe. My bacon crazy boys love them for breakfast and they are easy to make in advance and heat up later!
Oh, wow. Yay — so glad my chocolate cake was well liked 🙂
Sharing some gingerbread men cookies and candy cane snowballs {in case anyone’s got some leftover to play around with 😉 }.
Happy New Year!
