Welcome to Gluten-Free Wednesdays! I always appreciate everyone’s participation, and I’m so happy to see the carnival growing. There are many great blogs and gluten-free eating ideas out there. I hope that when you add your link you will take a few minutes to visit some of the other links and leave a comment.
If you get this post by email, remember to click over to the site later in the day or sometime tomorrow to see what great ideas have been gathered here.
Giveaway: This week I have a Mary’s Gone Crackers giveaway going on. If you haven’t tried their Sticks & Twigs or cookies, see what I have to say about them.
Monthly Theme: September’s theme is apples and this week I’ll be looking for apple recipes to highlight. However, please note this change. Since there have been so many recipes that go with the monthly theme, the list of highlights has become too long. I will only highlight 5 recipes each week. I haven’t decided if it will be the first five themed links or if I will just choose five from among all the links that fit the theme, but linking early won’t hurt. The post usually goes up around 10:00 p.m. eastern time. It also helps to leave a comment and let me know that you linked a recipe that goes with the month’s theme.
Last Week’s Highlights: Here are the last of the fruit desserts from August.
Pavlova – Carolyn’s Recipe Box
Frozen Grapes – Ruth’s Real Food
Lemon Meringue Cake – Sugar & Spice in the Land of Balls & Sticks
Lea’s Easy Peach Cream Ice Cream – Nourishing Treasures

Blackberry & Apple Crumbles – Gluten Free SCD and Veggie
Panna Cotta with Raspberry Sauce – Easy to Be Gluten Free
Raspberry Chocolate Cake – Gluten-FreeCooking.com

My Submission: This week I am submitting an apple recipe to go with the monthly theme.

Oooh, September is apple month! Can’t wait to see the deliciousness that is linked up!
I posted about freezing zucchini.
Thank you for hosting! I love the combination of apples and onions, I bet that was delicious. This week I shared a delicious Homemade Gravenstein Applesauce recipe. Thanks again 🙂
My apples won’t be ready to be picked for a couple more weeks so I am linking up a flourless chocolate walnut cookie recipe that my family loves. Thanks for hosting!
First of all–wow. Then, wow again! We JUST FOUND OUT TODAY my daughter has a gluten sensitivity! Then, I find your blog! Then, I see you are asking for apple recipes, and I just posted one! This was meant to be! Thank you!
Hi Erin! There is plenty of information and support for you here and at other great sites. Send me an email if you have any questions. Linda (at) GlutenFreeHomemaker (dot) com.
I posted a fantastic, tomato salsa recipe. Hope you enjoy it!
Thanks for hosting.
HI Linda,
i shared my Walnut Balsamic Dressing (SCD/GAPS) with a video and an article about all the coconut products.
I hope you visit me on Tuesdays at FAT TUESDAY a new real food carnival. Link up food recipes and posts with no additives, sugars or packaged products!
Hi! We’re all allergic to apples, so I don’t have any recipes for the theme this week, but I was so excited about my success making rice bread croutons for my grilled veggie panzanella salad, I had to share! My sons generally turn their noses up at rice bread, and I’ve found it doesn’t toast very well, but I tried sauteing it and it REALLY tasted GREAT! Thanks for having a look.
🙂 Lisa
I don’t have an apple recipe to share today, but I linked up a post on how to create allergy-friendly recipes. It’s a no-brainer, but sometimes we need the simple reminders.
Thanks for the opportunity to share!
Hi! So glad I found this site! Since it’s my first time participating, I linked up one of my favorite risotto recipes, because this wet weather we’re having in the Northeast screams risotto time! 🙂
I posted my recipe for Apple Walnut Salad Stuffed Belgian Endives. These are super simple but look fancy because of the shape of the endive. A great party food and perfect for a hot day!
Linda, I linked up my Frozen Watermelon Margaritas. They’re so tasty. Even if one doesn’t usually like frozen margaritas, these are different. 😉
Thanks for the update info on the rules. I’ll have to get better about submitting my entries early! And I love apples, so I’ll start planning for that ingredient for next week. 🙂
Shirley
Hi! I linked my ABC {Apple, Banana & Coconut} Breakfast Muffin recipe! Thanks so much for hosting this carnival! :o)
Well, I didn’t get to the apples yet this week, but I did link my Multibean-Tomato Soup with Chard and Onion. It’s finally been cooler here, so soup sounded pretty good to us.
