Welcome to Gluten-Free Wednesdays! I hope you all are having a great week. I think a carnival of gluten-free eating ideas is a great way to follow up Celiac Awareness Day, don’t you? Please share a link and visit some others.
Giveaway: This week Bob’s Red Mill is giving away some great products. Leave a comment on the post to enter.
Monthly Theme: September’s theme is apples and this week I’ll be looking for apple recipes to highlight. However, please note this change. Since there have been so many recipes that go with the monthly theme, the list of highlights has become too long. I will only highlight 5 recipes each week. I haven’t decided if it will be the first five themed links or if I will just choose five from among all the links that fit the theme, but linking early won’t hurt. The post usually goes up around 10:00 p.m. eastern time. It also helps to leave a comment and let me know that you linked a recipe that goes with the month’s theme.
Last Week’s Highlights: Here are some terrific apple recipes from last week.
Homemade Gravenstein Applesauce – Recipes to Nourish
Crockpot Applesauce – The Humbled Homemaker
Baked Stuffed Apples – Carolyn’s Recipe Box
Apple Crisp (with zucchini!) & Applesauce – Gluten Freely Frugal
Apple Oven Pancake – Easy to Be Gluten Free
My Submission: This week’s recipe is a soup turned sauce.
The Carnival: Please read!
- Keep the links to gluten-free eating ideas (recipes, reviews, menus)
- If you’re new, please read the guidelines.
- Leave a link back (I will not highlight any recipes that do not link back.)
- Thanks for participating!
Oooh, I’d love to win a Bob’s product! I’ve linked up my Sweet Cherry Lentil Soup this week. Now I’m wishing I’d added some apples too! 🙂
Thanks for hosting.
I shared a post on my favorite Beef Stew.
Thanks so much for hosting! And many thanks for highlighting my Homemade Gravenstein Applesauce recipe, I am honored. This week I shared a Chocolate Elderberry & Rose Hip Ice Cream recipe. It’s super chocolaty and delicious, with the added health benefit of the Elderberry & Rose Hip Syrup. Thanks again!
Thanks for the opportunity to link up! (And thanks for highlighting my apple crisp recipe!!!)
Have a great day.
HI Linda,
I shared my homemade ghee with a video and an article about the new therapeutic uses of probiotics.
I’d love to try out more of Bob’s Red Mill products! I linked up an Italian Chicken Bruschetta Pasta dish today that works great with gluten-free pasta and all those end-of-the-season veggies.
Thanks for the opportunity to share!
Time for a nice autumn tea under the apple tree? 🙂 I’ve linked up a recipe for gluten-free, egg-free, dairy-free crumpets… they were a happy accident at my house!
Thanks for hosting this! I shared my article about the differences/similarities between the GAPS Diet, the Paleo Diet and the Primal Diet. My family was gluten free for a year, and now we’ve been on the GAPS Diet for over a year and a half (grain free, sugar free, starch free), and we feel GREAT! I love posting about our experience and sharing recipes, etc.! 🙂
Thanks for highlighting my Apple Oven Pancake! And as always thanks for hosting. Linking up this week with a Ham, Sweet Potato and Apple Casserole.
Hi Linda, That sauce looks good enough to drink! I’m sharing a fab and easy protein ball recipe that is great for a post workout snack or a snack to get you through to the next meal.
I shared: Lea’s Spiced Yogurt Recipe and Make Your Own Granola.
Thanks a TON for your blog! I am still reeling after my daughter’s GF diagnosis last week! I shared a link for a giveaway for Keeper of the Home’s ebook–Healthy Homemaking. Although not a GF specific book, it is an EXCELLENT resource for anyone wanting to eat healthier and provide a more natural home for their families. There is only one chapter that includes anything on grains. If you feel it does not pertain for some reason, please remove, but as a GF mom who is striving to create a healthier environment for her kids, I’ve found this book really helpful!
Blessings and thanks again!
Yum! I can’t wait to try these with my GF daughter!
Just bookmarked a bunch of these to try – will share them with my FB friends if they turn out.
I’m very late this week, but linking up all the same. This recipe is a delightful salad that I recreated from a restaurant favorite. 🙂
I’m still planning an apple recipe. 😉 So many good ones highlighted and here today!
Thanks, Linda!
