Back on May I told you that Gluten-Free Wednesdays would be taking a break for the summer. Now that summer is over, I have decided to stop Gluten-Free Wednesdays all together and replace it with Gluten-Free Recipe Fix. This blog carnival will be focused on holiday and seasonal recipes, and we’re kicking it off with a Back-to-School and Fall Recipe theme.
One key thing to keep in mind with this carnival is that it is for linking up recipes only. The recipes must fit the theme though most of the time that won’t be hard to do. The linky will be open for two weeks, so feel free to come back and add additional recipes.
Upcoming Gluten-Free Recipe Fix themes are Thanksgiving Cookery (November 11) and Holiday Bites ( December 9).
The co-hosts for this event will vary, but for this edition Shirley and Cassidy are joining me. Here’s how you can follow each of us:

My Submission
With my son back in school (he commutes to college), I’m submitting Lemon Blueberry Snack Bars that I’ve been making for him to take in his backpack and eat between classes. I have an energy bar recipe that I’ll be posting soon that is also great for a back-to-school snack or as part of a packed lunch.
Carnival Guidelines
- All entries must be a gluten-free recipe. If it is a recipe with gluten-free options, those options must be listed in the recipe ingredients, not simply elsewhere in the text of the post.
- Entries should fit within the theme of the carnival (Back-to-School or Fall Recipes)
- Entries that do not follow the above guidelines will be deleted.
Please Read
- Linking up indicates you are giving permission for us to share your submitted photo and your link via social media.
- While all of the links in this carnival should contain gluten-free ingredients, please verify that for yourself. In particular, people have differing opinions on what brands they consider safe. Keep this in mind as you view the recipes. In particular, I am concerned about the new gluten-free Cheerios. You can read my thoughts on that here.
Welcome back Linda! Great idea! Hope that your summer went well! A great back to school recipe is
Raspberry Zucchini Loaf. With zucchini and fall raspberries abundant, I keep making this loaf and freezing it to enjoy later as well.
I hope your late summer/early fall are going well!
Hi Sandi. We had a great summer. I hope you did too. Your raspberry zucchini loaf sounds delicious. I think freezing part of it would be necessary to keep me from eating all of it too quickly!
Welcome back, Linda. Your new themed link ups are a great idea. The snack bars look yummy. I love blueberries. 🙂 With the temps cooling down a bit, I’ve linked up a zucchini casserole that I think everyone will love.
Hi Barbara. It’s definitely time to get back into baking casseroles, and your zucchini one sounds great. Thanks for linking up.
Hey Linda! Great carnival, I just love fall recipes and your bars look so yummy! Can’t wait to see your energy bar recipe because I’ve been looking for a good one! I’m sharing a pumpkin cupcake recipe because nothing says fall like pumpkin!
