I just realized that August is probably my least favorite month of the year. It’s typically very hot and humid here and summer is ending. There’s just not much to like about August. But we still have to eat, and so here is a gluten-free menu plan to help you out this first week of August.
The recipes in this menu plan are all gluten free. I also provide suggestions for dairy free and grain free diets for those who are interested. Most of the recipes this week are easy to adapt to either restriction.
Weekly Gluten-Free Menu Plan
Sloppy Joes on Homemade Buns with fresh veggies and hummus. For grain free, omit the bun and eat the sloppy Joe mix from a bowl (think of it as a stew).
Bacon Wrapped Chicken with mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli.
Tacos served with Guacamole and salad. For grain free, make a taco salad.
Citrus Cinnamon Chicken with Zucchini & Onions and rice. For grain free, omit the rice.
Italian Sausage wtih Quinoa and Broccoli – If you don’t eat quinoa, omit it and combine the sausage and broccoli.
Cheeseburger Rice with Salad – Use a cheese substitute or omit the cheese for dairy free. For grain free make hamburgers with a lettuce wrap.
Breakfast Idea
Or Blueberry Coconut Flour Muffins for grain free.
Dessert Idea
Or Raw Peach Pie for a grain-free dessert that doesn’t require using the oven.
