This week’s gluten-free meal plan is chock full of delicious ideas for dinner, breakfast, and dessert. With salmon chowder, pot roast, stir fry, and more, your family will never complain because the food is gluten free.
Main Dish Ideas
This Salmon Chowder is light and delicious and perfect for spring (especially some of the cooler wet days we’ve been having here). I’ve always made this recipe with coconut milk, which works great, but you could use regular milk, if desired. Serve it with the drop biscuits shared below.
Use the slow cooker for a delicious Italian Pot Roast that cooks while you’re busy during the day and is ready at dinner time. Add a side salad and potatoes, rice, or quinoa.
Chicken and Broccoli Stir Fry is a popular stove top meal. My whole family enjoys it. I usually serve it with rice, which can be omitted for anyone who is grain free.
These Pork Chops are super easy to make and cook in the slow cooker. Serve it with your favorite side dishes.
Salisbury Steak is a great way to dress up ground beef. A link to homemade cream of mushroom soup is included in the recipe (and can be made dairy free) or you can use a store bought gluten-free soup (cream of chicken works too).
Taco Rice is a flavorful and easy stove top meal that perfect for a weeknight dinner.
Side Dish Ideas
You can use canned or fresh beets with this Arugula Salad. It’s a perfect spring time vegetable dish.
I’ve been making these Gluten-Free Drop Biscuits for years because my family always loves them. they are soft and make an easy bread addition to a meal.
Pancakes are a great traditional breakfast food that work as gluten free and can also be made dairy free, if needed.
For a paleo (or simply low carb) breakfast option, try Zucchini Pancakes. They’re great for lunch, too.
I haven’t made this Cinnamon Bundt Cake in a while, but I really need to. My family always enjoys it. You could try using a gluten-free flour mix in place of the sorghum flour and starches. It would probably work well.
Coconut Macaroons are a grain-free dessert and easy to make. And because of their small size, it’s easier to restrict yourself if you’re limiting sugar. They can be made with white sugar or coconut palm sugar.
