This week’s gluten-free meal plan is filled with easy recipes to help you get dinner on the table during this busy season. The homemade calzones take a little more work, but they are so worth it! Make them as a special treat for your family.
I’ve been traveling for much of the past few weeks, so I’m behind on everything at home. I have some Christmas decorating done, but I’m doing a scaled down version this year. We’re not having any big family events at our house (just our immediate family) so I decided to buy a small 4-foot artificial tree. It was so much easier to put up than my larger tree.
While I like real trees, my sinuses don’t. So I stick with artificial. How about you?
Oh, and I loved seeing pictures of my 9-month-old granddaughter who looked in wonder and clapped her hands when they set up a tree at their house.
Slow Cooker Chicken and Vegetables – It’s especially great to depend on easy recipes like this during the busy holiday season.
Chicken, Vegetable and Wild Rice Soup is a great way to use leftover chicken.
Turkey Meatballs in White Sauce is a nice change from meatballs with tomato based sauce, and the white sauce is dairy free too. Serve with rice or pasta.
Slow Cooker Meatloaf and Potatoes is another really easy slow cooker meal. Let it cook while you’re out shopping!
Spanish Rice with Sausage is an easy and flavorful stove top meal perfect for a busy weeknight.
Homemade Calzones are a real treat. If you miss calzones from your pre gluten free days, these will hit the spot. Use whatever kind of filling you like.
Roasted Red Potatoes are a classic, easy, and delicious side dish. Try using different herbs. Rosemary is great!
