Cranberry Lime Mocktail

Linda Etherton

This Cranberry Lime Mocktail recipe is great when you want to enjoy a special drink without alcohol, and your kids can enjoy it with you too.

You start by infusing a water, lime, and honey mix with mint. The recipe calls for an hour infusion time, but if you want a stronger mint flavor, let it infuse longer. In fact, all the ingredients in this drink can be modified to increase or decrease certain flavors. You could also use other sweeteners and sweeten to your tastes.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups water
  • 1 cup lime juice
  • ½ cup cranberry juice
  • 2 Tablespoons honey
  • 4 mint sprigs
  • Lime slices

Instructions

  1. In a jar, mix together the water, lime juice, and mint sprigs. Add the honey and stir until everything is well combined. Place the jar in the refrigerator and chill for 1 hour.
  2. Put 1/4 cup cranberry juice in each of two tall glasses.
  3. Take out the jar from the refrigerator, remove the mint sprigs, and pour into the tall glasses (you may have some left over).
  4. Garnish with lime slices.

Notes

For a tropical kick, add a layer of pineapple or passion fruit juice after the cranberry juice.
