Baking on the Grill

Linda Etherton

Kitchen Tip ButtonI’m sure I’ve said it before, but I’ll say it again.  The grill is a great way to keep the heat out of the house during hot summer months.

I have a gas grill with a built in thermometer.  I use it as a grill but also as an oven.  I will place food on a baking sheet and set it on the grill, reduce the heat and let it bake.

The other night I used it to make baked meatballs.  They turned out great!  I also use it for baked salmon and grilled pizza.  I’ve probably used it for other foods that are usually baked, but they are not coming to my mind right now.

This summer I hope to try using my grill even more.  I’d love to hear what you cook on the grill!
