Autumn fruit – apples, pears, and dates – are combined with walnuts, dried cherries, cinnamon, and honey in this Autumn Fruit Salad. It’s a perfect combination of flavors and textures with just enough sweetness.
I recently made this fruit salad to take to my monthly ladies card game. Eight of us play the game 500 (not Rummy 500), and everyone really liked the salad. My husband enjoyed it too. It’s so well liked that I think it would be a great addition to a Thanksgiving table.

Will this keep if I make it the day before serving?
It’s not quite as good the next day. Everything gets a little soggy.
I love this salad, Linda. I find dates to be a magical sweetener these days and I love the bit of chewiness that they add. I’m going to include this recipe in the roundup of gluten-free vegan Thanksgiving dishes that I’m updating. 🙂

How many would you say this recipes serves? Thanks!
That all depends on the serving size and the size of the apples and pears. I would say about 10 – 12.
