Share Your Opinions About Food

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Communispace for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

Many of you who read this blog have strong opinions about food.  As people who have to eat gluten free (for a variety of reasons), we’re forced to think about food and read food labels more than most people.

I was diagnosed with celiac disease in 2000.  Since then, the way I eat and cook has changed dramatically.  At the time, I was not someone who particularly loved cooking, but I didn’t dislike it either.  As I was forced to learn to cook new foods, I found that I greatly enjoyed the challenge.

Along with changes in cooking came changes in shopping.  Reading food labels was eye opening!  For me, it’s been a good thing.  It means I have given more thought to the food I eat, and not just regarding whether the food is gluten free.  Reading food labels makes me think about what I’m putting into my body.  I also give more thought to how and where the food is grown.

Every time I choose organic over non-organic, grass fed over corn fed, non-gmo over gmo, etc., I hope that my choice makes a statement.

Share Your Opinions

Whether you’re passionate about heath or simply love to cook, if you would like to voice your opinions about food or the food industry, I have an opportunity to share with you.

I want to say upfront that I have not yet taken part in this opportunity myself, nor do I know all the details.  What I do know is that it’s a chance to voice your opinions and be compensated for your time.

Linda, I took the quick survey and at the end they accept or decline you. I was declined, maybe because I like all range-free animals and organically grown food, or maybe they consider me too old, lol.

Hmmm. That’s interesting. I hope it’s not because you prefer range-free and organic. I used to do focus groups and was often declined because of age. They were looking for a certain number of people in different age brackets, and some brackets filled up quickly. Maybe that was it. Thanks for letting me know.
