Pacific Foods Review & Giveaway

Organic Free Range Low Sodium Chicken Broth Cashew Carrot GingerAll Natural Hazelnut Chocolate

Pacific Natural Foods is a company that produces products I can feel good about consuming.  Visit their What We Believe page and find out what I mean.  But not only do I feel good about the ingredients that go into their products, their products also taste great.

I was recently sent some samples to try.  A few of my favorites are the three products pictured above.  I’ve been using their organic chicken broth for some time, but I really loved the creamy (but dairy free) cashew carrot ginger soup, and the chocolate hazelnut milk was a real treat.

Regarding allergens, their web site states the following.  The sentence in italics is mine.

Pacific Natural Foods does not produce products with eggs, sesame, shellfish, or peanuts in our facility.  We do produce products containing dairy, soy, tree nuts, and corn. (I believe wheat should also be on that list.) Every 24 hours, production shuts down for a total cleaning and sterilization of all equipment.  Complete cleaning and sterilization is also performed between runs of dairy and non-dairy items.

To further reduce potential for cross contamination, a thorough cleaning and flushing of all equipment also takes place after running any product containing allergenic ingredients.  The same cleaning is also performed between runs of non-organic and organic products to maintain the integrity of the organic ingredients.

You can read more at their FAQ page.  They also have a product information guide that makes it easy to find out if a product contains allergens, is gluten free, dairy free, vegan, etc.

  3. Meghan says:

I’ve used their unsweetened original almond milk for quite a while now and love it! Would love to try some of those soups!

  4. I use their broths all the time. I’ve got a pretty busy schedule and usually don’t have time to make my own broths so it’s nice that I can pick up something on the fly that’s not only gluten free but comes from quality sources (free range chickens, no GMOs, organic, etc.).

  5. i LOVE their broth.. i actually use it to cheat when i’m making a gf gumbo. it adds a bunch of great flavor! i haven’t tried their other products (yet!)…

  9. I’ve had the broth and the carrot ginger soup (which I liked a lot)! I am a chocoholic so when I saw the chocolate hazelnut milk I got really excited. It sounds like chocolate milk meets nutella – mmmm!

  10. I’ve usesd their broth (I think they produce a no-chicken chicken broth which is quite delicious). I’ve also eaten a number of their soups, but I find that the flavors sometimes work and sometimes do not. Their faux milks are quite decent, but I’m not picky aobut them as I typically used them for baking rather than drinking.

  11. I subscribe.

  12. I’m a huge fan of this brand; I used to work at a natural foods warehouse, and the sales rep was the one that got me hooked on it. With multiple allergies, it’s hard sometimes to find a brand that won’t cause problems, and this one is it. I use the soups and broths frequently, especially the condensed soups. I didn’t know they made a nut milk, but now I have it on my list to try!

  13. I’m subscribed! I don’t think I’ve ever tried their products before.

  14. Carole Resnick says:

I use there broths in many of my recipes.

  15. Meredith says:
