Mother’s Day Recipes

I hope all you moms have a great Mother’s Day on Sunday.  Many people like to go out to eat, but in our area, restaurants are so crowded on Mother’s Day that it’s not enjoyable for me.

I  prefer to spend time at home with my family.  Sometimes I cook something simple and sometimes we pick up steamed shrimp or crab legs from the grocery store.  And occasionally my husband and kids try their hand at cooking.

I know there are plenty of dads out there with great cooking skills, but my husband is not one of them.  If you need a relatively easy recipe to suggest to your husband and kids to make for you, here are several main dish idea.

Grilled Kebabs

Here are a few dessert recipes that are pretty easy and/or don’t require any cooking, and all are delightful treats.

Often times I will make a dessert the day before a special occasion.  Here are a few suggestions for more complicated desserts.
