Kettle Cuisine Review & Giveaway

Chicken Soup with Rice Noodles

Kettle Cuisine is a company that sells gluten-free soups.  I have heard of them for years but had never tried any of the gluten-free soups until recently.  I can whole heartedly say that they win my approval.

Unlike most soups, these are not sold in a can.  They are frozen.  They come in 10 ounce single serving bowls which can be cooked in the microwave.

I was very pleased with these soups.  They tasted great and I would not have guessed they were a frozen soup if someone had handed it to me already heated.  The soups are hearty and contain plenty of chunky, whole food ingredients.

Speaking of ingredients, here is what’s in the chicken noodle soup:

“Chicken Stock, Chicken Meat, Rice Noodles (brown rice, rice bran, water), Carrots, Celery, Onions, Chicken Fat, Sea Salt, Spices.”

That’s the kind of soup I make for my family, and the kind I like to buy.

Kettle Cuisine is not a strictly gluten-free company, but they have a wide selection of gluten-free soups including vegetarian, dairy free, and low fat varieties.  I was pleased to find that 6 of their 10 gluten-free soups are also dairy  free.

Regarding the gluten-free status of their soups, Kettle Cuisine states on their site:

“We carefully segregate cooking of all gluten free soups and only begin cooking soups containing gluten once gluten free cooking is complete. In addition, we test every batch for less than 5 parts of gluten per million, which is well below the FDA’s proposal for 20 parts per million. As a result of these practices, we are proud to be officially certified as a gluten free manufacturer by the Gluten Free Certification Organization (GFCO).”

Where to Buy:

Kettle Cuisine soups are sold at a wide variety of retailers.  In my area, they are sold at a number of health food stores as well as Giant, Wegmans and Whole Foods.  You can find a store near you using their Where to Buy page on their site.

I also found some of their soups on Amazon.  Make sure you order only gluten-free varieties.

I have tried the tomato with garden vegetable before, they are delicious…especially on those days when you want something warm but dont want to spend a lot of time in the kitchen.

  3. Nancy says

When I have no idea what to have for dinner, I open the pantry and take out a Kettle Cuisine soup, open the freezer and take out gluten free cornbread (always have that made up in the freezer!) Then I peel some carrots and there is dinner! Always a favorite!

  4. Blue says

I haven’t tried any Kettle Cuisine soups, but I am glad that they have four tasty-sounding vegetarian flavors that I would try if I got the coupons. I haven’t had any ready-made meals in a long long time, so I would appreciate having the convenience of having something that just needs to be heated, especially on work days, when things need to go quickly.

  5. Diane says

I am subscribed to your blog via email. I am anxious to try these soups, my poor granddaughter can eat so few things and this sounds very good for her.

  12. Carrie Gort says

I ‘liked’ Kettle Cuisine on Facebook, and thanked Gluten-free Homemaker for the referral. I have not tried Kettle Cuisine soups. I have not been able to locate them in my area, however, would love the opportunity for my son to try them. He is only 10 and diagnosed with Celiac 2 years ago. It has been a challenge finding foods that are good and safe for him. He is a very picky eater, and therefore is also small for his age. Would love the opportunity to have him try something healthy and safe. Thanks for providing the gluten-free community with options!
