Ground Beef Goulash

This year I hope to share with you a lot of easy meals such as this ground beef goulash.  We’re all busy, and most of us have at least a few days a month where we need a quick and easy meal.  For others, that’s the case pretty much every evening.

It’s important to have your pantry stocked so that you can prepare such meals when the need arises.  A quick and easy homemade meal is going to save you money and probably be healthier than eating out.

There are a number of different goulash versions.  This one is similar to what my husband grew up with.

Ground Beef Goulash
Serves: 4 - 6
  • 8 ounces gluten-free pasta
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 (15 ounce) can diced tomatoes
  • 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
  • salt and pepper to taste
  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions and drain.
  2. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef and onion. Drain.
  3. Add the garlic and sauté for one minute or until fragrant.
  4. Add the diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, and Italian seasoning. Simmer about 15 minutes.
  5. Stir in the pasta, salt and pepper. Heat and stir for 5 minutes.

Serve with gluten-free French bread or French bread rolls.

    That looks and sounds so good.. I used to eat something very similar when I was a kid. I’ll have to see if I can find some gluten-free noodles locally. I probably could order some, but I’d rather not. Thanks for sharing! Glad you all are feeling better!

      Kim, My local stores finally got more gf foods in their stores. Every time I went to the local stores I asked why and when us can have gluten free foods in the the store. I showed them papers on products and information on where to buy them at. But I also been finding our foods in Super Wal Mart stores. You just need to ask all the time!

    I have good memories of goulash – my mom used to make one almost like this one (but not gluten-free), and I always loved it. This one looks good and beefy!

    What could you substitute the tomato sauce/tomatoes with? Allergic to soy, tomato, corn, among other things.

    This looks yummy and my hubby is Celiac and most meals at home is Gluten Free so this is another great dish, I make different GF pasta dishes and will give this a go ????????
