It’s been an interesting day here. I’m writing this on Tuesday afternoon after experiencing an earthquake, which is very unusual for Maryland. Our house seriously shook and for a long time. Only one thing fell that I know of, but I’m surprised it wasn’t more. Did you feel the quake that was centered in Virginia?

Peaches seem to be popular. I’m very intrigued by your raw peach pie concept. I hated fruit desserts for a long time because I disliked the soft mushy texture. Raw pie sounds about right.
Thanks for hosting. Glad you are safe! Thank you so much for highlighting my Creamy Watermelon Ice Cream recipe, I am honored. This week I shared an Apple Crisp w/ Soaked Oats Topping (made with Gravenstein apples which are in season right now, but any apples would work). Many thanks again
I heard about the quake on the BBC news! Today I’ve linked my Cheese Sauce, slightly healthier than a normal cheese sauce and suitable for the SCD!
Glad to hear you’re safe! I called my sis out in Cali to say that we had a big quake here on the east coast, and she of course said, “Anything under a 6.0 doesn’t count.” Your peach pie looks fantastic! Thanks for sharing and for hosting this linkup each week.
My kids were really scared (we’re in VA), but I lived in California so I knew right away what it was. It was just so odd!
Glad all is well. Thanks for the yummy peach recipe–my kids also prefer fresh to cooked, so this is a great one to try.
That earthquake sounded pretty crazy! We’re used to them here on the west coast, but that quake yesterday on the east coast came as a big surprise. I’m glad you didn’t have any damage.
Your raw peach pie looks delicious! Thanks for the recipe!
Thanks for featuring my Peach Pie among such good company! I especially want to try your Raw Peach Pie soon — it looks like such a good way to enjoy fresh peaches.
Here in NE Ohio I didn’t notice an earthquake, although there was supposedly a 2.5 quake that registered here at the same time as your Virginia quake. Every so often (every year or so) that happens around here, so it’s not so unusual for us — a 2.2 or 2.5 or thereabouts. Most of the time I don’t notice them, although our pets do more often.
Hi! Thanks for featuring my Blueberry Cobbler from last week! Glad your earthquake experience is mild … ready for Hurricane Irene? I’m on the East Coast too, and we’re battening down the hatches. Good luck!
