Welcome to Gluten-Free Wednesdays.  It’s been a busy, and I put up a lot of posts last week.  You can find the highlights here.

Gluten-Free Labeling: If you haven’t yet taken action, what are you waiting for?

Guest Post: This week I have a guest post at Mother Earth News about pressure cooking.  Thanks to Wendy of Celiacs in the House for that opportunity.

Giveaway: This week’s giveaway is a copy of the book Gluten Toxicity.

Monthly Challenge: April’s challenge is to create a gluten-free dessert bar.   I’ll be highlighting dessert bar recipes starting next week.  Keep in mind I’m looking for dessert bars not snack bars.

Go Ahead Honey, It’s Gluten Free: One entry was accidentally sent to my Spam folder so be sure to take a look at West African Sweet Potato Soup and Korean Soup with Spinach from Life at Right Angles.  Here’s the roundup of soup recipes.  You will also find the link to April’s carnival at the end of the post.

Last Week’s Highlights: Here a the soup recipes from last week.

  1. The highlighted soups from last week look really good. This week I am submitting a tasty apple tart which is easy and simple to make.

  2. Wendy @ Celiacs in the House says:

Thanks for joining me over at the Mother Earth News blog. Hope we can do it again soon.

  3. Thanks for the clarification on the bars, Linda! I admit my mind was going both ways on that one, so good to know! 😉 I linked up my announcement on the gluten-free labeling summit/largest gluten-free cake ever!/ event and my adoption of Maggie at She Let Them Eat Cake. Almond dream shake and double chocolate chip cookies–two great recipes!

Okay, off to check out your post at Wendy’s new and wonderful gluten-free Mother Earth News blog! I need help with pressure cooking so I know I’ll love your post. :-)

    • I noticed your mention of granola bars in the comment you left on the challenge post and meant to reply to it but forgot. I did specify dessert and not snack bars in that post, but I know people miss details like that (who has time to read every word?). I thought it would be nice to give snack bars their own month sometime. :)

  4. Hi Linda! Thanks for highlighting my Pureed Zucchini Soup!
This week I am sharing my recipe for Pork Chops With Apples And Almonds. It is an easy recipe and of course it’s gluten free!
    Thanks for hosting!

  5. Hi, Linda —
Your crockpot chili looks so good! I brought some Pan-Grilled Asparagus to share this week — quick, easy, and healthy. Also, it’s GF, CF, sugarfree and more.

  6. Hi Linda! I’m back this week with a really nutritious muffin! Thanks for hosting.

  7. alex at a moderate life says:

  8. Hi – great blog! I linked my creamy brown jasmine rice pudding and would like to invite you to link to the Hearth and Soul Hop at Fit Foodista :)
