Gluten-Free Wednesdays 3/30/11

Gluten-Free Wednesdays button

Welcome back to Gluten-Free Wednesdays, a weekly carnival of gluten-free eating ideas.

Guest Posts: In case you missed it last week, Valerie of City|Life|Eats did a two part guest post:  Lunch Box Tips Part 1 and Lunch Box Tips Part 2.

Go Ahead Honey, It’s Gluten Free! This month I am the host of this great carnival and the theme is seasonal soup. The carnival is now closed and I will be posting the round up on Thursday.  I will continue to look for soup recipes this week to highlight next week.  April’s challenge will be coming at the end of the week.

Adopt a Gluten-Free Blogger: This month I adopted Lynn of Lynn’s Recipe Adventures.  View my adoption post to see the delicious recipes I tried.

Last Week’s Highlights: Last week we had several tasty, warming soups and stews.

Slow Cooker Lamb Stew with GF Beer Buns – Without Adornment
Clam Chowder – Andrea’s Kitchen
Sweet Potato Coconut Thai Curried Soup – Jenn Cuisine
Beef Vegetable Soup with Italian Seasoning – Elegantly, Gluten-Free
African Peanut Soup – 18 Hour Kitchen

My Submission: I am submitting a deliciously moist chicken recipe.

Hi Linda. I finally have a recipe to contribute. Looking forward to your guest post over at my Mother Earth News blog.

  2. I linked up my latest chowder recipe. It’s gluten free and dairy free (or not) and oh, so good. :-) Thanks for hosting, Linda. Lots of folks and great entries here today. We need those soup ideas as it’s still cold! :-(

  3. Hi Linda! Thanks for highlighting my Clam Chowder recipe!
I am sharing another soup recipe today- Pureed Zucchini With Sun Dried Tomato. It is a great soup to make ahead and freeze.
    Thanks for hosting!

  4. Linked up again! Thanks for the feature on my African Peanut Soup!

  5. Linda,

Thank you for featuring my Beef Vegetable Soup from last week! This week I’ve linked Roast Chicken that is GF, CF, and free of many other allergens, but full of flavor. It is a good example of why I think a gluten-free diet is not unhealthy for anyone, gluten-sensitive or not…regardless of what some may think.

Thanks again for hosting this carnival, and for your good ideas for feeding a family —
    Pat

If you have a question about a recipe (especially substitutions and nutritional information), please read my FAQ page before asking the question in a comment.
