Gluten-Free Wednesdays 12-21-11

Gluten-Free Wednesdays buttonHi everyone!  It’s a busy week here, and I bet it is for you too.  I know people will be looking for gluten-free eating ideas as much as ever, though, and I’m excited to see what you have to share.

If you get this post by email, remember to click over to the site later in the day or sometime tomorrow to see what great ideas have been gathered here.

Donate $2 and Help Send Children to a Gluten-Free Summer Camp: This week only your $2 donation will be matched.

Giveaway: This week I have a giveaway from Grandpa’s Kitchen Gluten-Free Mixes.  I also posted my Home for the Holidays recipe which includes a giveaway of several books.  Each entry automatically enters you for the final giveaway of three great prizes including a grand prize of a Vitamix.

Monthly Theme:  December’s theme is chocolate.  You have this week and next to link up your chocolate recipes (actually you can link them any time, the theme is not a requirement).  I will be highlighting 5 or 6 theme recipes each week.

  3. Hi,
I shared my no potato latkes and my grain-free holiday roll out cookies, as well as my mock cocoa fudge.

  4. This is my first link up to your site! I’ve included a gingerbread cookie and butter pecan larabars.

  5. Cooking up lots of soup this week to stave off the cold damp weather. Wishing you and your family a Merry Christmas!

  6. I, for once, have my act together enough to link up to your Gluten-Free Wednesdays event! Shared my scalloped potatoes recipe. Also, I’m planning on making your cinnamon rolls for Christmas morning. :) Merry Christmas!

  7. GOod morning Linda, Thanks for hosting. I brought a salad to the party today. It’s one that my husband and I eat as a meal. It’s super satisfying, so much so even we were surprised! :) Have a great week.

  8. Can you believe that I never got a chocolate recipe in? SO SHOCKING! LOL, but true. ;-) Thanks for hosting each week, Linda! Hmmm, maybe I’ll get a chocolate recipe in next week?

This week I’ve linked up Cinnamon Swirl Coffee Cake, which is the example of what can happen if you run out of granulated sugar. A very happy misfortune, let me tell you! This coffee cake makes for a great gift and I’ve also shared more “last minute” food gift ideas in my post. :-)

    Merry Christmas, Linda!

  9. Hi! Merry Christmas! I linked my Mincemeat and Christmas Cake recipes this week!

  10. I linked up two recipes this week-Persimmon Strawberry Ice Cream and Grain Free Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

  11. Thanks for your informative web site. I recently was tested for gluten/ciliac intolerance and found out I do have intolerance to glutens. Anyway, I have been making bread in my breadmaker with gluten free recipes. I tried your sorghum wheat recipe, very good. I found 3 eggs work just as well and mixing/combining various flours works great for variety. Super easy with a bread maker and i just use the Rapid Method and don’t need to pre-mix anything, just put it all in (I put liquids first and dry stuff last, then turn on bread maker)… I also found a web site with lots of gluten free flours, etc… good prices. If people want to use my code TEG692, they can get $5. off their first order, free shipping over $20. Go to http://www.iherb.com
Thanks again for your site! It really helps.

  12. Thanks so much for hosting. Wishing you and your family a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Blessings, Kelly

  13. Many great recipes linked up by you all ~ as always!

  14. I really loved your website.
