Gluten-Free Wednesdays 11/3/10

Gluten-Free Wednesdays2

Wednesdays are probably my favorite blogging day.  That’s because I get to see all your wonderful links, though it usually takes me a couple of days to get through them.  This week I am out of town for a couple of days (you’ll hear more about that later), but will visit your links as soon as I can.  As always, thanks for participating!

November’s Challenge: November’s challenge is posted, and I hope you are up for it: Make a Gluten-Free Pie.  Link your pie recipes here on Wednesdays, and I’ll highlight them the following week.

Last Week’s Highlights: These are from Octobers challenge.

Classic Pumpkin Bread from gluten free easily
Gluten, Corn, Soy & Dairy Free Pumpkin Bread from Funny (allergen-free) Girl

Squash Fest:  Don’t forget to stop by on Thursdays for a guest post on squash. This week we’ll hear from Amy of Simply Sugar & Gluten Free with a stuffed acorn squash recipe.

My Submission:

chicken, veggie & wild rice soup

The Carnival:  If you’re new, please read the guidelines.  I love seeing everyone’s submissions, and I hope you are able to visit some of the links and leave a comment.  Thanks for participating, and don’t forget to leave a link back.

  2. cooperkelly4 says:

HI Linda, I didn't see your blog button for the month challenge. I am sure it is me that is missing it. Are we supposed to add that to our blog post? Let me know and I can fix that. Thanks for hosting! Kelly

  3. Kim-Cook it Allergy Free says:

Hi Linda! Cannot wait for the pie challenge. WIll hopefully have one next week to post! This week I linked up my Cinnamon Coffee Bars with Cider Glaze…

  4. Cozy Home Scenes says:

I have some wild rice I've been wondering what to do with. This shows me maybe I should use it in some soup when I start making it this winter. Thanks for the tip and for hosting the party.

  5. Kathleen says:

I made pie. Nothing original. Lots of butter.

  6. WendyGK says:

Hope you are having fun on your little trip and will share all the juicy details. I'm sharing a new take on Shepherd's Pie that the family devoured. I think it will replace my traditional recipe.

  7. Valerie @ City|Life|Eats says:

Instead of a recipe, I am sharing a restaurant review of Mitsitam, which is in Washington, DC – about 75% of the dishes are gluten-free so I wanted to share the review for anyone living in or near Washington, DC, or for visitors.

Thanks for hosting and have a great trip!!

  9. Pat @ Elegantly Gluten-Free says:

Here's my blueberry pie with cornstarch and agave nectar. When my husband first tasted it, he noticed the difference, but he decided he likes it!

  10. Andreas Kitchen says:

I added the link to my Shrimp Salsa. It is very easy to make and really healthy! It would be a nice appetizer for Thanksgiving or Christmas. It also would be a great topping for a lunch salad. Thanks for allowing me to post my link!

  11. a moderate life says:

Hi linda! Thanks so much for hosting this great gluten free carnival. My entry this week is all about stocking a healthy pantry with great traditional ingredients. Then I realized that everything I made was gluten free, so I thought I would pop by and link up! Whooo hoo! Alex@amoderatelife

  12. I Am Gluten Free says:

Your soup looks like something my dear mama would've made. Looks delish! Thanks for including me in the carnival. I included a recipe for Sweet Potato & Kale Brown Rice Wraps.

  13. laxsupermom says:

I love that you host this party every week. I've found some great sites from your party. I actually made this squash recipe last month for the squash challenge, but never got around to posting it with all of the Halloween party planning. I'm definitely going to do the pie challenge, though.

  14. gfe--gluten free easily says:

Linda, I've linked up a "non-recipe" of Pumpkin Butter Salsa Chicken, plus Pumpkin Butter "pudding" and thoughts on cooking from Michael Ruhlman and myself. :-)

It was truly beyond wonderful to meet you in person in Minneapolis!! Hopefully, that will be the first of many chances for us to get together. 😉

Thanks so much for linking up my pumpkin bread. :-) Much more to say, but heading off on a trip with Mr. GFE!
