Gluten-Free Wednesdays 10-12-11

Gluten-Free Wednesdays button

Hi everyone!  I hope you are all doing well.  I have to admit that I have not been feeling the best for the past few weeks.  As a result I have not visited as many blogs or left as many comments as I would like.  Please know that I appreciate everyone’s participation!

Giveaway: This week I have a Kinnikinnick doughnuts giveaway going on.  Be sure to look for their pumpkin spice doughnuts this fall.

Monthly Theme:  October’s theme is squash recipes (including, but not limited to pumpkin).  I’ll be looking for squash recipes this week.

Last Week’s Highlights:  Each week I highlight 5 links that fit the theme of the month (squash for October).

Pumpkin Pecan Bars – @Home with Gina C
Dense and Chewy Pumpkin Cookies – Domestic Diva
Sweet and Spicy Roasted Acorn Squash – Flip Cookbook
Beef Lentil Stew in a Pumpkin – Beyond the Peel
Corn Chowder with Butternut Squash – Allergy Free Vintage Cookery

My Submission:  This week’s recipe is another slow cooker meal.

Linda, I’ve linked up the pizza dip that folks are already excited about. :-) It can even be made dairy free. 😉

Sending you healing hugs, dear. No worries on not being able to visit and comment everywhere. We’re just grateful to you for hosting this event each week!

    More hugsss,

I linked up 2 doughnut recipes: Pumpkin Chocolate Chip and Chai with Vanilla Glaze. For some reason being able to eat gf doughnuts makes my kids feel just a little bit more normal. :)

I’m sharing my first ever successful gluten-free pie crust today with an apple pie. I’m very excited about this recipe as I have a very poor track record with all pie crusts, not just of the gf variety. I hope the readers here will be able to make it work for them and enjoy it too!

Thanks for the chance to share!

Hi Linda! Thanks for highlighting my Beef Lentil Stew recipe. I wanted to share a recipe this week for a protein packed chickpea soup that leaves one feeling satisfied and full.

If you have a question about a recipe (especially substitutions and nutritional information), please read my FAQ page before asking the question in a comment.
