I have several Pyrex glass measuring cups
Recently I have switched to washing my measuring cups by hand. I would much rather use the dishwasher because there are enough pots and pans that need to be washed by hand, but I don’t want to replace my measuring cups simply because I can’t read them anymore.
That’s my tip for you–to wash the cups by hand to keep them from fading, but I would like to know if any of you have another solution.

I dont have any solutions other than hand washing. I’ve had mine (same size as yours) for about 35 years and the markings are still on mine.
I wonder if the ink/paint was better/stronger & led based back when. I’ve never had that issue.

Well, since I have no dishwasher I definitely always wash by hand! Thanks for this news though – makes not having a dishwasher a happier thought. I do love these and have a 1 and 2 cup that seem to always be in use!
I have had this happen too, I take a black Sharpie marker and make my own lines on them.

I had a diswasher 65 years ago and the paint was getting faint on my 2-cup and I used the Sharpie too. It is still there but haven’t had a dishwasher in 52 years. Now I find I use my 2 quart for big jobs and the 2 cup for mostly heating waster in the microwave.
