Sausage with Apples and Onions
- 1 tube (16 ounces) gluten-free sausage
- 2 medium apples, peeled and thinly sliced
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- sausage grease, butter, or other cooking oil
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- 1 tube (16 oz.) gluten-free sausage

- Peel and slice the onion. Cut slices in half.
- Peel, core, and thinly slice the apples.
- Crumble and cook the sausage in a large skillet until done. Drain and reserve the grease.
- Remove the drained sausage from the skillet, add a couple teaspoons of grease or oil of choice back into the skillet, and add the onions.
- Sauté until onions are soft and lightly browned.
- Add the apples and sauté until just soft.
- Add the honey and stir to coat the apples and onions.
- Add the sausage back to the skillet. Heat a few minutes until everything is hot.
- Add salt and pepper.
