Create a Gluten-Free Salad Challenge

monthly gluten free challenge

June’s monthly gluten-free challenge is not at all difficult in terms of making it gluten-free, but I thought it would be fun to come up with salad recipes this month.  There are lots of options for participating in this challenge.

Types of recipes you could submit for this challenge include:

  • garden/green salad
  • fruit salad
  • salad dressing
  • potato salad
  • pasta salad
  • chicken salad
  • egg salad
  • bean salad
  • any salad you can think of

I don’t thinks salads need much explanation, and it’s so easy to get creative with them.  You could start with another recipe and modify it or simply combine ingredients that you think would taste good together.

If you need inspiration, here are a couple of my salad recipes:

Brown Rice Salad
Warm Chicken and Potato Salad

To Participate in the Challenge:

  • Post your recipe on your blog and include a link back to my site.
  • Come to this blog on a Wednesday in June and link your recipe at my Gluten-Free Wednesdays carnival.
  • The following week I will highlight salad recipes in my Gluten-Free Wednesday post.

Woohoo! I have several posts for this challenge and they are ones I’ve been wanting to finish and share–so very cool (no pun intended)!! It’s definitely salad time. I am not wanting to cook anything lately. 😉

Hi Linda, I wanted to say I really enjoyed looking around your blog and have joined. Mr Bloggger and Google are not liking me right now and it doesn’t show my avatar :( One of the reason I am considering the big change soon and am working with the SITS 31 DBB project. See you in the forums. Theresa

Great challenge item. That’s about all I want to eat when it’s hot. My son, however, keeps asking for popsicles for dinner.

If you have a question about a recipe (especially substitutions and nutritional information), please read my FAQ page before asking the question in a comment.
