  1. Hi Linda! Thank you for highlighting my Smoky Cauliflower Soup With Kale!
I am sharing another soup recipe this week- Clam Chowder. My recipe is gluten free and is mostly dairy free except for 1 tablesppon of butter, which you could leave out. It is a lighter style than so many which are thick and heavy with flour and cream.
    Thanks for hosting!

Your stew sounds wonderful! Thanks for sharing and for hosting this party each week.

Thank you for hosting every week. Your stew sounds delicious. It has been so cold and dreary for us in Wisconsin that I also decided to create a soup recipe – French onion – for this week. It was a rousing success at our house.

  4. Hi Linda–I linked up my roundup of what’s going on in the gluten-free world; there are so many great events, cookbooks, etc. right now. For example, I hope everyone will tune in to QVC today at 4:00 pm (Eastern) to see Carol of Simply … Gluten-Free with her new desserts cookbook. An hour is being devoted to gluten free, but I’m not sure what else will be featured. Anyway, my recorder is set … it’s exciting to see gluten free in the mainstream. :-)

    Thanks so much for hosting!
    Shirley

  5. Linda,

I finally managed to make some soup while I had my camera handy! We often have a gluten-free meal of home-made vegetable soup… especially on cold, inclement days like yesterday was. Most of the time it’s the traditional vegetable soup. But… sometimes a little change is good and that’s how this vegetable soup I’ve linked came to have Italian veggies in it :-) It’s GF and DF.

    Thanks for hosting!
    Pat

  6. Thank you for highlighting my Tuscany Rice and Bean Soup! And as always thanks for hosting. This week I am linking up with a Stroganoff Stew.

First time linking up! So much fun!

  4. [...] According to Archana’s Kitchen, Gobi Manchurian “is said to have been developed by the tiny Chinese community that lived in Kolkata for over a century. Immensely popular with Indians, it is widespread in major Indian metropolitan cities such as Mumbai, New Delhi and most importantly Kolkata (formerly Calcutta).” After comparing various recipes online, I was most intrigued by Soma of ECurry’s recipe for Gobi Manchurian. Soma has an absolutely fantastic blog, and it turns out that she is from the city of Kolkata/Calcutta and so grew up enjoying Indo-Chinese fusion food. That explains a lot! However, if I tried her recipe as written, the extreme spiciness of it would make my intestines explode and all that would be left of me is a little charred bit of ash on the sidewalk. Yes, I’m a wimpy little gluten-free girl. My husband and baby are also not so into the chili peppers, so in the interest of family tummy harmony, I adapted it to be gluten-free and less spicy. The resulting dish was a hit with everyone, although Baby Yum stuck to the plain fried cauliflower. I hope you enjoy! One of my favorite things about the internet is how we can learn from bloggers from all over the world. Archana, Soma, and Manjula are three of my absolute favorite Indian bloggers, and I have learned so much from all of their recipes and stories. What are your favorite “fusion” recipes and international bloggers? Tell me in the comments! I’d love to hear what your favorite recipes are by Archana, Soma, and Manjula as well.
